Socks Make An Awesome Gift Any Time Of The Year!

When we’re kids we love getting toys around the holidays. I mean, what’s better than opening up a gift from a family member or Santa and having it be that video game we’ve been waiting to play all year? As we get older, or day I say mature, we start to look forward to other types of toys. Maybe electronics. Maybe appliances. But I’m here to tell you that a pair of socks makes an awesome gift any time of the year!

Some of us would just rather have a gift card to pick out what we really want! And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.
But what about socks? LOL

I know they’re kind of funny to think of as an awesome gift but hear me out. I think they’re an amazing gift to get for any occasion, especially around the Holidays. In fact, If I still wrote a Christmas list, socks would be on there. No Lie!

First off, there’s nothing like the feeling of putting on a brand-new pair for the first time. It feels like you’re walking on cotton-filled air, so soft and smooth. Nobody ever hated that feeling. And then of course there’s all the fun you can have with them. I don’t mean what you could do with them, but rather, how they can show off your personality.
You can get a pair of your favorite sports team to show off your pride. You can get colorful ones to match your outfit nicely. Or, you can get funny ones, whether with quotes or pictures…. there are no rules!

And I think that’s what makes it so exciting to get some socks. Don’t get me wrong. It may not match the feeling of opening up a brand-new iPad that is boxed with a bow on it. But there’s something childlike about the experience of getting new socks. I dig it. And I’m not afraid to admit it!

I'm getting ready for the big day!  I'm creating a two-part list of some of my favorites for holiday shopping to share with you guys and gals.
I wanted to incorporate a few elements into my picks. Most important- I need to LOVE these ideas and use them. Every pick is one that I enjoy and recommend. I love uniqueness, quality, and good customer service. Next, local in house businesses, local online businesses, and folks that are also trying to make a difference in the world with their businesses (I love that!) that you may not know about. Many new entrepreneurs embark on "business givebacks" to local charities which always turns my head and grabs my heart. Truly what the season is about. I also try and find brands that you will use again and again simply because the experience is a good one.

Cool clothing, lifestyle merchandise food, drink, jewelry, pet-related, experiences, and more- I've included something for everyone on my 2 lists. And of course, those who know me know I love everything that ROCKS! So there are quite a few rock-related items on my list.

Shopping for me is hard. I enjoy a "personal" touch to gift giving (I'm not one for throwing stuff at anyone) and I like to try and figure out what each person is going to think is fantastic!
There is still time to get your shopping done- (I'm always a late shopper!) as we head into the final week before the big day.

Most of all, remember the season is about enjoyment. With family, friends, and recharge for yourself, please take a minute to "breathe in....breathe out".....(quoting the super hot Gavin Rossdale and BUSH!) and have some fun.
