Why WDHA’s 3rd Rock The Rockfest Was An Awesome Concert

WDHA’s Rock The Rockfest was an awesome concert. Everyone had a blast and the bands just came alive on stage. The performances were something special!

So, Rock The Rockfest 2024 is now in our rearview.  And while I think back on it I have some really fond memories.  From the bands to the WDHA listeners to the live broadcast with some interesting interviews, it was a great time.  Here’s why WDHA’s Rock The Rockfest Was an awesome Concert.

There was a live broadcast before the show even started.  At 2 pm I came on the air with Terrie Carr and we had a slew of the performers stop by the broadcast booth to do some interviews.

The girls from Plush kicked us off.  They are so sweet and so talented and it was great to see them. The rest of the bands were equally as cool too.  It was fun to see everyone from Seether to The Struts Tim Montana and Dayseeker.  And yes, Ayron Jones looked like a real rockstar and told some cool stories.

When doors opened, the DHA listeners poured in which was awesome.  We took selfies, caught up with old friends, and exchanged stories.  DHA listeners know their music and have strong opinions on what they expect from a live show.

Also on hand were the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention, the US Marines, and STRUNG.  They are awesome organizations and it was really cool to have them there.

What really made this day special was of course the performances.  I was at the broadcast, but I heard the VIP sets were out of this world! People couldn’t get enough, thinking it was so much fun.  Which of course, is what you want to happen!

And then our main stage kicked off.  And without sounding like I’m trying to be nice to each performer, they were all amazing.  Ayron Jones kicked things off and really wowed the crowd.  Dayseeker was terrific and full of energy.  The Struts truly know how to work a crowd.  Seether played all the big hits and Staind was heavy, melodic, and brought the loud and heavy sound.

It really was a fun night and I am already looking forward to next year.  Hopefully, you were there at Prudential.  It was something truly special!
