Two Kilos are Just Part of A Bad Combination For Florida Man
It’s not that unusual to find Florida Man in possession of cocaine, but two kilos worth? And that was just part of a bad combination of circumstances in today’s episode of Florida Man Strikes Again!
DATELINE – Florence County FL and the saga of Florida Man Ewart Everett Everton. Excuse me – want to get the names right – Ewart Everton Brown of Fort Lauderdale.
He was arrested a couple of days ago after deputies initiated the traffic stop. Now, there are a number of lessons to be learned here. He was driving a black BMW SUV. That’s pretty noticeable vehicle.
So now he’s speeding on I-95. So that means there are two bad things going on right there. Well, owning a car like that is not necessarily a bad thing, but if it’s that noticeable and you’re going that fast….
That’s a bad combination right there.
Well now, once deputies had stopped Brown, they had “reasonable suspicion” of criminal activity. I’m not sure what Brown said or did, but the cops thought they had enough to ask for Brown’s consent to search the vehicle.
Well, Florida Man said, sure, go ahead, because what’s the worst that could happen?
Since it’s Florida Man we’re talking about, that’s just the start.
Well, when the cops searched the vehicle, they found not one, but two kilos of cocaine and a nine millimeter Beretta. This is not a good combination.
Based upon the amount of cocaine that was seized, we’re pretty sure that it wasn’t going to be just for personal use.
So Florida Man now faces charges of trafficking cocaine and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. He was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Florence County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
Flashy car, speeding, suspicious activity. Yep. Sure sounds like a bad combination of circumstances for Florida Man to me.
