WDHA’s Reconnect With Rockers with Andy Black From Black Veil Brides

Andy Black from Black Veil Brides is always fantastic to interview. Why? He always has so much going on! A rockstar, actor, author, and visionary, Andy Biersack is a man with a plan!

Black Veil Brides have a phenomenal new tune "Bleeders" from a conceptual EP of the same name that will be released on June 21st and a show on Wednesday, May 16th at The Palladium Times Square Theater in NYC. And when I say the new tune is fantastic it is! A big anthem, with a cool theme.

It's called "Bleeders" and BLOOD is the ongoing theme in the band's new EP, with a companion video that is a modern-day recreation of the "Sweeney Todd" story- (The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street) with Andy becoming Sweeney and the incredible video direction of metal visionary "Jensen Noen".

In this "Reconnect" webisode, we talk about the band's relationship with their new record label "Spinefarm", Andy's childhood "Sweeney Todd" obsession, the other two blood-related songs on the EP (both covers), how the INCREDIBLE video came to life and I even get an update on Andy's rocker wife, "Lilith Czar"

Soon Universe performed for the first time live FOR US! The WDHA listening family! Pretty damn cool!

Rock's newest Supergroup stopped by to kick off the WDHA Parking Lot Party series on Friday 5/3 and knocked it out of the "LOT".

Sonic Universe Is - Corey Glover (Vocals) Mike Orlando (Guitar) Booker King (Bass) and Taykwuan Jackson (Drums) - and is Rock newest supergroup that combines the talents of the Grammy Award-winning legendary Living Colour vocalist Corey Glover, Booker King- the bassist for with Santana, Paul Simon, and more- Guitar Virtuoso -Mike Orlando and hardcore metal drummer Taykwuan Jackson.

Hence the name - SONIC UNIVERSE!

When the band heard about the buzz on their first single - "I Am" on WDHA, and that the WDHA Parking Lot Party season was about to open- they were up for the chance to open the series a week before their debut- "It Is What It Is" was set for release. And fans went wild with hundreds of online entries and busy phones with people trying to "win their way in".
