Florida Man Made It Way Too Easy For the Cops To Find Him
If you’re going to commit a crime, like stealing a Lyft car for example, the last thing you want to do is make it easy for the cops to find you.
But when it comes to Florida Man, all bets are off. So of course, he made sure to use his real name to make it as easy as possible for the police to apprehend him.
FLORIDA MAN STRIKES AGAIN!
DATELINE – Miami and the Saga of Florida Man Jermiah Charles.
If you’re going to pull off a crime, you probably don’t want anyone to know your name, right?
That wasn’t the case with Jermiah Charles. He carjacked a Lyft driver in Miami a few days ago. Drove off in that driver’s Toyota Corolla.
The driver said that he had started punching her from the seat until she finally got out. Now she’s okay. And we know what the guy’s name is, because when he ordered the Lyft, he did it under his own name.
He stole the car after booking a ride through the app. So the driver, she just gave the cops his information.
Which is exactly how they tracked him down. Police arresting Jermiah Charles at his home. They found the car a block away.
It wasn’t me, officer
Now, of course, he denied everything, claimed he hadn’t even taken a Lyft that day. But obviously, they had the records.
Plus, a community security camera nearby also got him on video. He is facing charges for robbery and carjacking.
Unfortunately, they cannot charge him with severe stupidity.
Now understand that we would never advocate committing a crime of any kind. And that would obviously include assaulting a Lfyt driver and stealing the car.
But for heaven’s sake – come up with a fake name.
Think of it in the same way as that burner account you have for Instagram.
