He Set Out For A Weekend Beer and Ended Up In Jail
When this guy left his house on Sunday, all he wanted was a cold beer (or perhaps two). What he didn’t anticipate was crashing into a grocery store and ending up in jail.
How F’d Up Were You?
It’s a Monday morning. We always like to check in with you and ask, How F’d Up Were You?
Because, well, maybe the weekend was a little rough. Maybe you were overserved.
We tell you the story this morning of this one guy, Jose Silverio.
But let me preface this.
Relaxing with a cold beer or two
On Friday, I had a chance to get together with a couple of guys I coach with in Springfield. Hadn’t seen them for a few weeks. It was good to catch up. Had an adult beverage or two. Just relaxing, talking about the season past, where we think we’re going to go this year. Just relaxing, chilling out.
Well, maybe that’s what Silverio wanted to do.
He was looking for a beer early Sunday morning. The problem is, he didn’t want to pay for it. So he went to a convenience store where he used a pipe to smash the doors of two coolers. He then stole some beer, drove off in a Land Rover.
Employees there at the convenience store called the police, but Silverio was able to get away. That is, until a few hours later when Silverio crashed his Land Rover through the door of a grocery store.
Now, we’re not sure if the accident was intentional or if he was drunk or maybe both. But either way, Silverio realized that he was done at this point.
So what did he do?
Anyone else want a beer?
Well, he cracked open a beer and started to chat with a few of the bystanders who happened to be there while police were on their way.
Once they got there, they did arrest Silverio for felony vandalism and larceny, along with other pending charges. My guess is there’s a DUI in there somewhere as well.
So no matter how rough it is for you this morning, no matter how much you may have been overserved over the weekend, take heart. You’re not as bad off as this guy. And that’s this morning’s How F’d Up Were You? Here on the WDHA Morning Jolt.
