Think Twice Before Putting That Illegal Stuff On YouTube

Thanks to technology, we live in a time when we can all be social media stars - do a video, put it on YouTube, and voila!
Instant celebrity!
The problem is that some people simply don't have a filter, which invariably means that some illegal stuff ends up on social media, which in the end helps the cops track them down.
A perfect example is this morning's Florida Man who apparently does some fancy tricks while riding an electric motorcycle.
FLORIDA MAN STRIKES AGAIN!
DATELINE - St. Petersburg and the Saga of Florida man Javan Gomes, who was arrested a couple of days ago, charged with fleeing and eluding, racing on the highway and threatening a police officer.
Yesterday, you may recall the lovely Florida couple who were arrested after allegedly of shoplifting from a Lowe's hardware store. They made it rather easy for the police to find them because on their surveillance video, they were wearing matching Cookie Monster pajamas.
Well, this is kind of along the same lines.
St. Petersburg police detectives say that Gomes was riding an electric motorbike, recklessly popping wheelies through red lights, cutting off cars, traveling on the sidewalk, and then failing to stop when officers tried to pull him over.
Pretty unsafe and dangerous stuff, according to the police.
Now, due to city policy, police officers did not chase Gomes and instead investigated the incident in the following days, calling the neighborhood for eyewitnesses.
Tracking down the suspect
Well, it was rather easy to find Gomez because what this knucklehead did was he posted video of the whole thing on YouTube.
He had a helmet cam on. So all of this stuff running, the red lights, popping wheelies, all of that posted on a now deleted YouTube video.
I guess one positive side to this, at least he wasn't wearing Cookie Monster pajamas.

Bruce Springsteen- Tunnel Of Love
This is a Springsteen masterpiece. Troubled times in love, incredible video shot in Asbury Park. New Jersey perfection.
Bon Jovi- In And Out Of Love
Perfect for Valentine's Day - Some are "in" and some are "out" of Love and of course this video is magic because it was shot in New Jersey (like Tunnel Of Love) however this one a bit further south at the Seaside Heights Boardwalk and guess who was there as a teen? ME!
Smithereens - Too Much Passion
The Smithereens are truly a brilliant band and "Too Much Passion" from 1991's "Blow Up" is one of the most underrated songs EVER! The strings, harmonies and Dennis Diken a master on the drums.
Trixter- One In A Million
LOVE this incredible tune from New Jersey's (and rock music's ) first ever hard rock boy band (and I say that with much love as I adore these guys) Just a perfect rock/pop tune - and one of my favorites.
Saraya- Love Has Taken It's Toll
Sandi Saraya was labeled the "Female Bon Jovi" and no doubt this band should have been bigger. This is a great rock banger and perfect for Valentine's Day!
Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes- Hearts Of Stone
The title track from Southside's third album, a Bruce Springsteen written song, it's classic New Jersey, especially this video pulled from a performance at The Capitol Theater in Passaic New Jersey.
My Chemical Romance- I Don't Love You
From their epic 2006 release The Black Parade - "I Don't Love You" is powerful, emotional and one of my favorites from the Newark New Jersey born band. And the video is fantastic!
Fountains Of Wayne - Stacy's Mom
While technically the band is from New York City, they named themselves after the Wayne New Jersey Lawn and Garden store on Route 23, and the tune about falling in love with a friends hot mama is really fun for the day dedicated to love- especially if she looks like Rachel Hunter in the video!
RIP Adam Schlesinger.......
Skid Row- I Remember You
"Remember yesterday, walking hand in hand. love letters in the sand...I remember you....."
Those are Valentine's Day lyrics for sure! Our Jersey metal brothers gave is one of the greatest power ballads of the 1980's.
Nils Lofgren- Valentine
Even though Nils was born in Chicago I'm including this one because of his E-Street status! Plus, come on.....it's just perfect.
Joe Lynn Turner- Endlessly
Such and underrated 80's power ballad from Hackensack native and former Deep Prrple, Rainbow and Yngwie Malmsteen vocalist. This came off of Joe's solo record "Rescue You" which was released in 1985 and is one of the sleeper masterpieces of the 1980's.
Zakk Wylde- Ain't No Sunshine
Jackson New Jersey's Metal Master has the most incredible vocal abilities. Zack's cover of the 1970's Bill Wither's classic is soul stirring and I love love it. The video is pure Zakk and exceptionally emotional featuring the late Vinnie Paul of Pantera.
