FLORIDA MAN STRIKES AGAIN!
DATELINE - Columbia county, and the Saga of Florida Man Bryan Chapman.
Bryan Chapman's got himself in a little bit of trouble. Now, I don't know about you, but if I had done something illegal, I would probably want to maintain a low profile.
As low a profile as possible.
Chapman was already wanted on a weapons possession charge. Well, he got himself arrested a few days ago after he was sitting in the parking lot of a Zaxby's restaurant.
A deputy approached the car because the deputy detected the odor of marijuana. Well, right there, now he has probable cause.
The detective learned that Chapman had that outstanding warrant from a neighboring county for a weapons possession charge. That's not good.
While Chapman was detained, the deputy searched the vehicle. Inside the car, the deputy found a box of chicken wings.
But wait, there's more!
Of course there is. It's Florida Man.
Inside the box of chicken wings. - a firearm. That's not good. And counterfeit cash.
And elsewhere in the car was the equipment to make counterfeit cash, according to the sheriff's office. Did Chapman say, "I'd like to speak to my attorney?"
Well, he may have, but he also allegedly admitted to producing counterfeit bills. Again, I don't know about you, but if I had all of this going on in my car, probably would have maintained a far lower profile and definitely would have asked to speak to my attorney before copying to anything.
The guns and the money in the box of chicken wings. What a mess that must have been.
Chapman was arrested and booked into the local jail. He faces charges from that previous warrant, plus the new charges on counterfeit money.
What a fun time that's going to be for him.
