Florida Man’s Job Burnout Results In A Van Full of Kidnapped Inmates
When it comes to job burnout, we’ve all been there. So perhaps it’s easy to understand why Florida Man told his boss he wasn’t making his scheduled delivery, and he wasn’t coming back to work.
And that, boys and girls, is how Florida Man ended up getting arrested for kidnapping prison inmates.

DATELINE – Orlando and the Saga of Florida Man Joshua Pinquet.
Pinquet works for a transport company. He and another employee were in a company van transporting.
Well, the coworker texted the owner of the company to say, we have a problem because Pinquet is going off course and he refuses to return the van.
Job burnout
Now, we’ve all had that. You just get fed up with what you’re doing. That’s it. I can’t do any. I quit.
You have that urge, and then you think, wait a second. I’ve got bills to pay. I’ve got a mortgage, I’ve got a car payment, the kids. I just can’t and you struggle your way through it.
Well, not Florida Man. He decided enough’s snough. I’ve had it. I am not delivering my cargo.
Oh, did we tell you what the cargo is? Pinquet works for an inmate transport company. There were four inmates in the locked cargo area of the van.
You can imagine what’s going through their minds. “Where’s this guy taking us?” I mean, I’m sure they’re thrilled they’re not going to jail, but nonetheless well, the owner called the police, who eventually were able to locate the van and stop Pinquet on I 40.
Who kidnaps prisoners?
Pinquet charged with five counts of felony second degree kidnapping. Who kidnaps inmate prisoners?
Florida Man does.
So five counts of felony second degree kidnapping and felony larceny by an employee.
You can imagine the conversation in jail. “Hey, tough guy. What are you in?” “Um, I kidnapped some prisoners.”
