Everything Is Bigger In Texas Including Cops Chasing Florida Man’s Big Rig
On Tuesday we told you about the Florida Man on a motorcycle who led police on a 110 MPH chase.
They say everything is bigger in Texas and this morning, Florida Man uses a FAR bigger vehicle in leading police on a 160-mile, 2-and-a-half hour chase across the Lone Star State that ultimately ended with cops shooting out the tires on an 18-wheel big rig.
FLORIDA MAN STRIKES AGAIN!
DATELINE – Four different counties in Texas and the Saga of Florida Man Christopher Lubowski from Ormond Beach.
He was driving an 18 wheeler going from Florida to Texas and, well, things got a little carried away, like a two and a half hour chase over about 160 miles covering four counties.
Roman Forest Police Sergeant Jeff Campbell is the one who initiated and led the chase. He said he didn’t call the chase off over the 160 miles and two and a half hours because he believed the driver was just as dangerous when he wasn’t being pursued. Campbell said.
In this particular case, the truck was already driving erratically before we even started the pursuit. Whether we were there or not, he was going to continue to drive the way he was doing, so it was up to us to get him stopped as fast as he could so he wouldn’t cause a danger to the public.
He went on of and off of interstates and local highways.
There were a couple of minor crashes. Luckily, nobody was hurt.
How did they finally stop him?
They had to shoot the tires off the 18 wheeler in order to get Lubowski to come to a stop.
When they investigated and did a search, the police found that Lebowski had 16 grams of methamphetamine on him.
No, I’m not shocked, either. Are you?
Bond, by the way, was set at $150,000.
